Be in the world, not of it...

One of my first topics might be a tad bit bizarre, being in the world but not of the world. I fist heard this saying in bible study class I use to attend. When I first heard this I thought was, this is a great way to describe how I feel sometimes. I feel like I'm in a world that I'm not a part of in a way, ( I know that it sounds a little cryptic, it's a hard to explain but I will try) I feel as thought the trivial false realities of this world don't phase me as much because I see a different side of the world. For instance, I am in love with ( most of I'm trying to get use to bugs) nature, I can take one look outside and find peace, I can't seem to find the same tranquility anyways else. It's like a au naturel high I get from the mother of nature.

Being "In the world and not of the world" means that you can happiness in a world that seems so cruel and unfair at times. I like to think of myself as a care-free black girl, but I still care about the welfare of humans, animals, and the planet that we live on ( I still eat meat but I am still not giving up on being a vegan even thought I relapse a lot). It can get really depressing at times when you care so much but if you step back for awhile and try to find solace in the beauty the world and your spirituality it could be a way to recuperate. Mediation and yoga are also great ways of relaxing and helps you take a moment to reflect back on your life and the world around you. If your not into yoga you could also try going on walks as well. I started going on walks more because I wanted to savor the last few warm days of the year but it turned into quite the tranquil exercise. It also allows me to clear my head and get some fresh air and helps me think.

Finally sticking to your own life is another key in this philosophy. What I mean by that is not try to compare your life to other people's lives, live your own life to the fullest, by examining your own goals and dreams you can achieve your own success. In this world you are constantly are told what success looks like, it's up to you to determine what success looks like to you and go for it. It's your life so chose how you want to live it!
Best wishes,
